The last group match day had some surprises and some expected results.
WOMEN
Right at the start of the morning, Sydslesvig narrowly beat Les Ladines 3:2 in Schleswig/Slesvig to become the second women's team to reach the semi-finals. Once again, hundreds of schoolchildren created a lively and colourful atmosphere.
The other two matches were not only about winning the group, but also about the best runner-up as the fourth semi-final participant.
Koroška/Kärnten only secured a 2:1 victory over Nordfraschlönj/Nordfriesland in the final minutes with a remarkable long-range shot.
Nordschleswig and FC DFK Oberschlesien drew 2-2 to earn one point each.
Team Koroška, South Tyrol and Sydslesvig are joined in the semi-finals by Nordfraschlönj.
MEN
The following picture emerged in the individual groups:
Group A
The standings changed practically at the final whistle: Occitània took the lead ahead of Nordfraschlönj with a 1-0 win in injury time (90+2).
Group B
FC DFK Oberschlesien won the top match against previously unbeaten Serbske Mustwo (Sorbs from Lusatia) 3:1.
Group C
Title contenders Sydslesvig also won their third match, beating I Ladins and advancing to the final round unchallenged.
Group D
Friûl are the superior group winners after their 8:3 victory against the Ungarndeutschen, ahead of the Hungarians from Romania, who had beaten Slovenians from Italy 3:1.
Group E
Defending champions South Tyrol remain on top in the three-team group after beating Ils Rumantschs 6:1.
Group F
Team Koroška had already booked its spot in the quarterfinals yesterday.
Group G
The final match in this group was a hard-fought 2:1 between the Serbs in Croatia and the Slovaks in Hungary.
As the best group runners-up, the Slovaks from Hungary will complete the teams in the quarter-finals.

The two semi-finals will be played on Friday 5th July at 3.30 pm in Flensburg and Tønder / Tondern respectively.
The women's match for third place will be played on Friday in Harrislee / Harreslev, Holmberg 20, at 3.00 pm.
NOTE
There will be no match on Wednesday 3rd July. Instead, the Culture Day will be held at Knivsberg, Haderslevvej 484, 6230 Rødekro/Rothenkrug, with a rich programme in which the minorities will participate with their own varied contributions.
