“Croats of Serbia” represents the Serbian Croats in Serbia. According to the 2011 census, there were araount 58,000 Croats in Serbia or 0.8% of the population. The most of them lived in Voivodina and the rest in Belgrade (constituting 2.4% of the population of the province Vojvodina and the fourth largest ethnic group in that region) and remaining in rest of the country. In 1990s, during the war in Croatia, members of Serbian Radical Party organized and participated in the expulsion of the Croats in some places in Vojvodina. According to some estimations, the number of Croats which have left Serbia under political pressure in this period might be between 20,000 and 40,000. In 2002 the State of Serbia recognized Croats of Serbia as national minority.
